This lockring is designed to solve a common issue when upgrading a Brompton bike to a 5-speed or 7-speed cassette. During shifting, the chain can potentially drop off the 11t cog to the right, causing it to rub against the frame. This product blocks the chain from dropping to the right, preventing this issue.

Note: The chain should be an 11-speed chain. This product is not compatible with rear hubs that use a circlip to secure the cassette (older 2/6 speed brompotn stock hub).
